As Toronto grapples with COVID-19 (along with cities and regions the world over), city builders are considering its potential impacts on urban density, housing, work, mobility and neighbourhoods in the future. Today, Ryerson CBI is announcing a new webinar series, presented in partnership with the Urban Land Institute, to provide a platform for these voices.

The “Future of Cities” online discussion series brings together notable urbanists and Ryerson academics for insightful discussions of how this global pandemic will change the way we live.

We’re kicking off the series with “Future of Density,” a conversation between Ken Greenberg (Urban Designer) and Murtaza Haider (Professor, Ryerson University). Please join us on Wednesday, April 8 at 12 noon EST for a 45-minute session including a moderated discussion and audience Q&A.

There is no cost to join the webinars, but participants must register in advance. And if you can’t make it to a session, don’t worry: recordings will be made available on our page.

In the coming weeks we will be rolling out more sessions in the series, including…

  • Future of 9 to 5
  • Future of Affordability
  • Future of Neighbourhoods

…and more. Follow @RyersonCBI and @ULIToronto for news, and visit our web page for complete details.
